Bitcoin genetic code memo
31 October 2025
On Monday 06 June 2022, I visited the DNA double helix sculpture in the National Botanic Gardens, Dublin, Ireland. On Thursday 15 September 2022, I visited the Bodleian Libraries, University of Oxford to read a few papers stored in their offsite storage. Since these two events, by the grace of God, I’ve been unworthily working on framing Bitcoin as genetic code.
On Thursday, 31 October 2024 at 18:10 GMT / UTC, the Bitcoin genetic code paper was announced to coincide with the 16th anniversary of Satoshi Nakamoto's initial announcement.
On Monday, 11 August 2025, I returned to Oxford, the Western epicenter of Orthodox theology in the 20th century, to present a set of three papers at a conference: Part I: Bitcoin is genetic code; Part II: Bitcoin solves cancer, and Part III: Bitcoin is golden.
A recording of the talk is available here.
A version of the papers may be published in the conference proceedings. A summary of the three papers is available: [PDF]. Checksum (sha256): <06b20ca4205d2da7381010dd8ebfe0c19d69244749a6b08f800b67b6a506e394>
The main points:
- - Bitcoin is a rewrite of genetic code / ribonucleic acid (RNA)
- - Bitcoin solves the cancer problem
- - Bitcoin is a recursive (hyperincursive) structure-preserving mapping with an asymptotic attractor controlled by synchronisation parameters
Forgive me for delaying the release of the full work. I’ve been working alone with God’s grace and mercy. Thanks to God for guiding me to the sources (without which the work would not exist) and for leading me along the path to walk.
Wholeheartedly in the Name of the Holy Trinity,
Declain P. Thomas
